Darude, born Ville Virtanen on July 17, 1975, in Eura, Finland, is a renowned electronic music producer and DJ. He gained international fame with his 1999 hit single “Sandstorm,” which became an iconic track in the trance and electronic dance music scenes. The song’s success propelled Darude into the global spotlight, leading to numerous performances at major festivals and clubs worldwide. Over his career, he has released several albums, including “Before the Storm” (2000), “Rush” (2003), and “Label This!” (2007). Darude is celebrated for his energetic performances and contributions to the electronic music genre, maintaining a significant influence in the industry.
